I've been an avid Detroit-area photographer since the 1980s and love covering events for families, businesses, and non-profits. I was a journalism major at Oakland University (Rochester, MI) and took every photography course that I could. I shot for a few small newspapers and entered some competitions and then took the corporate route, taking a job in commercial printing, then with Canon U.S.A. Photography has always been a high-end hobby and I love the combination of being artistic and technical, while using creativity and business smarts to fuel the passion.
I shoot many corporate events, including volunteering for some nonprofits, as well as portraits (inside or out) and kids sports. I like to "cover" an event like a photojournalist, and capture moments that tell a story from beginning to end.
